Underlying Communication?

Can somebody tell me that what type of protocol this API is using to communicate with skydrive?

It uses the same protocol as a web browser: HTTP / HTTPS web requests and responses, as there is no official API for SkyDrive.

See "How does it work?" section on Home page.

Hmm. It seems very weak. Being forward minded...What if SkyDrive developers change the appearance of the website? The API will fail. Won't it?

And please tell me why it gives an error on SkyDriveWebClient.ListRootFolders and SkyDriveWebClient.BeginListRootFolders?

Thank you

I know that it's weak and it's easy to break. I also wrote this in "How does it work" section. But at the moment there is no other way to programatically access skydrive online storage.

The reason for the error could be the bug that was found recently, folder with name C++ could not be opened.

This bug is fixed, but not yet released. Shortly, I'll do it.

FYI, SkyDrive API version 2.0 has been totally rewritten and currently, it uses real web services like SkyDocsService, Live API and SkyDrive WebDAV.

No more dependency on SkyDrive web site ...
